Topic: Bad Medicine

As if TV huckster Billy Mays wasn't bad enough, with his Mighty Putty, Orange Glow and Oxi-Clean,  The latest "sold on TV only" concoction is making Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Hyde very sick!

The product in question is Kinoki foot pads, a "miraculous" invention that purports to rid one's body of toxins through the feet.  Just stick one pad to the bottom of each foot at bedtime and wait for the magic to occur while you sleep.  The next morning (so the commercial shows) the wearer awakens refreshed and ready to face the day.

The "proof" of Kinoki's ridding the body of toxins is in the pads, or at least on the pads.  The wearer removes the pads and notices they have turned black-having been sheer white when originally placed.  The maker even shows a before and after graph listing various toxins that were once present, but which are now completely gone, which is nothing short of amazing!

AMAZING?  ...amazing my left foot!  (Sorry for the pun.)  It turns out-surprise...surprise-that there is absolutely NO proof of Kinoki foot pads doing what they claim to do.  As a matter of fact, users complain that the pads smell horribly and they are sticky such that it is difficult to remove them from the feet.

Tell us what you think about Kinoki Pads, or even if you've heard of them before this blog.
